India is the largest exporter of pepper in the world followed by Vietnam and Sri Lanka. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Import-Export Department, Vietnam exported over 41,000 tonnes of pepper worth 129 million USD in the first two months of the current year, a 35% increase in volume but a 7.4% decrease in value compared to the same period in 2022.
